A previous “award-winning” agency rebuilt their site and fumbled the switch-over — and 18 months later they were still paying for it.
True Blue Migration are registered Australian migration agents in Melbourne and Perth. When their new site went live, the migration from old to new was botched. Organic traffic dropped from roughly 10,000 to 5,000 visits a month, and the recurring issues never got resolved. For a migration firm whose enquiries come almost entirely through online channels, that’s not a vanity metric — it’s lost business, month after month.
They came to us specifically to lift their Core Web Vitals — the speed and quality benchmark Google uses for ranking. We know this pain because we’ve cleaned up after it many times: developers who don’t finish the job and leave the client carrying the cost.
What we did
We ran our own audit first. We found out-of-date plugins, an out-of-date platform and an out-of-date server. So we built them a staging site, updated the whole stack, applied our standard speed optimisations, and switched on a content delivery network — all without touching their live site until it was proven.
The result
- Desktop performance lifted from 60 to 95/100 — into the green
- Mobile performance lifted from 26 to 85/100
- Organic reach restored, and a site that finally performs the way it should
A clean before-and-after with a hard metric — and a firm that stopped losing enquiries to a problem that was never theirs to begin with.
