2. Why and when we collect your information
-
FL3P collects the information you give us either online or by email, post, facsimile, face to face, over the phone or through our partners, agents, resellers or affiliates. In most cases, the personal information FL3P will collect from you is the personal information required in order to provide Service(s) to you. This information may include your full name, postal address, telephone number, email addresses, ABN or ACN, facsimile number, date of birth and other relevant details.
-
We also collect your payment details such as your credit card number for provision of Service(s).
-
FL3P makes use of cookies on all our website properties. A cookie is a small piece of data given to your web browser by our server in order to store information about preferences you may have set. Cookies are also used to track certain interactions with our website and to provide a more personalised experience. You can disable cookies by turning off said functionality in your web browser. Please bear in mind that this may result in the experience becoming degraded.
-
Customers can choose to apply for a .au direct domain name using a drivers licence, passport or medicare card to verify their Australian presence. If customers choose to supply eligibility information using this method, all information is submitted via a secure web form and the data is securely transmitted to the document issuer for validation. At no point do we store the data entered into the form, we’re only advised if the validation check passes or fails.
3. How do we use your information
-
We collect and use your personal information to deliver Service(s) to you. This includes the sales and technical support component of the Service(s), accounts and billing, maintenance and any other components that your Service(s) depend on.
-
As an accredited domain name registrar, we are required to make available the personal information we collect from you when you register, transfer or renew a domain name to a publicly accessible database known as a WHOIS database. The reasoning behind this is that the personal details of registrants should be freely available to all other users of the Internet. This is something that is adopted by the industry as a whole. This does mean we are unable to control how others may use this information accessed from the publicly accessible database.
-
As per regulatory requirements, all accredited domain name registrars must make the WHOIS database available for bulk downloads by third parties who have entered into appropriate agreements with us.
-
Any telephone conversations you have with us may be monitored or recorded in order to facilitate staff training and for verification purposes. You will always be informed prior to any telephone conversation, and by continuing with the telephone call you are granting approval.
-
Where you purchase Service(s) or products from us that are provided by a third-party (such as SSL certificates, SEO services, et cetera) we are required to collect and disclose your personal information to these providers in order for the Service(s) or products to be rendered.
4. Free tools and lead enquiries
When you use a free tool on our website — such as the Website Audit — and choose to request a human review, we collect:
- your name (optional),
- a WhatsApp number or email address (you choose which),
- any message you add, and
- a snapshot of your audit result: your website address and its scores.
Why we collect it: to prepare and send your review, and to follow up about it. That’s the only reason we use these details unless you separately opt in to our email list (see below).
Legal basis: your consent. You give this when you tick the checkbox on the form. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing aaron@getfl3pped.com or messaging us on WhatsApp — we’ll stop contacting you and delete your details promptly.
Our email list (optional): the form includes a separate, optional checkbox to join our email list for occasional practical tips and updates. It is unticked by default — you are only added if you choose to tick it, which is your express consent under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time. Our email list is run on Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC), a service based in the United States — so if you join, your email address is stored and processed by Mailchimp overseas, and they send the confirmation email and manage unsubscribes on our behalf. If you don’t tick it, we use your details only for your review and follow-up.
What we don’t do: we don’t add you to any marketing or mailing list unless you opt in, and we never sell or share your details for marketing purposes.
Where it’s stored: contact details and audit snapshots are stored in Cloudflare D1, a database service operated by Cloudflare, Inc. Data is held in their global network and governed by their security and compliance programme.
Operational alerts: so we can respond quickly, an enquiry also triggers an internal notification to us (including the details you submitted) via Telegram, a messaging service operated overseas. It’s used only to alert us to your enquiry — not for marketing.
Automated plan emails: if you complete the “Find Your Automatable Task” quiz and request a one-page plan, a draft plan is prepared (always reviewed and approved by a person before it is sent) and emailed to you. Your email address is used only to deliver that plan to you. We send it via Elastic Email (Elastic Email Inc.), a transactional email service. Your email address is transmitted to their systems for delivery purposes and is subject to their own privacy and security practices.
How long we keep it: we keep your details for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting work. If we don’t end up working together, we’ll delete them within 12 months of your enquiry. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time — just email aaron@getfl3pped.com and we’ll take care of it.
Your rights: you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of any personal information we hold about you. To make a request, email aaron@getfl3pped.com. We’ll respond within a reasonable time and, at most, within 30 days.

Your continued use of basic information security protections (such as ensuring strong passwords are set and that these are changed regularly and not shared with anybody) will also help to protect your security and personal information.
8. Retention of data

We will retain your personal data while your account is active and for a period of time after your account is closed to ensure we’re able to deal with any compliance, regulatory or tax issues.
